Being selected for investigation may arise for a variety of reasons, including a tip off by another taxpayer, random selection or coming to the attention of one of HMRC’s taskforces.

Our approach is to ensure that the stress of such an investigation is minimised for them and that their case is put in the best possible way to HMRC so they do not pay anything they don’t have to, and that any penalties are kept to a minimum.
